Dr. Ahmed Ameen Al-Obaidi
General and Cosmetic Dentist
Highly experienced in all facets of general dentistry, Dr. Ameen is a caring, empathetic dentist passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles for life. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he earned his Fellowship Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow, Scotland. He then went on to earn his Diplomate Certificate from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) in 2010 and completed his Canadian board examinations at the University of Western Ontario. He continued his training in the United States, where he became a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantologists.
Advanced Training and Clinical Interests
Over the course of his career, Dr. Ameen has developed deep expertise across several areas of advanced dentistry:
Implant Surgery and Full-Arch Reconstruction: With thousands of implant cases completed across four continents, Dr. Ameen is a recognized authority in implant placement and full-arch surgery. He teaches at High Tech Dental Seminars, speaks on full-arch surgery in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, and presents internationally on implantology.
Cosmetic Dentistry: Dr. Ameen has built a reputation for transforming smiles with precision and artistry, earning recognition as one of the three best rated cosmetic dentists in Thunder Bay.
Community and Education: Dr. Ameen is an annual speaker for the Ontario Dental Association and has had the privilege of providing care across four continents, including volunteer work with the North American Red Cross Organization delivering dentistry to underserved communities.
Beyond the Practice
Outside the clinic, Dr. Ameen is a proud father of four. He enjoys playing soccer, swimming, and travelling, and speaks both English and Arabic.
Dr. Istabraq Jasim
General Dentist
With over 25 years of dedicated experience in dentistry, Dr. Jasim brings a wealth of global expertise and compassionate care to her patients. After earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Baghdad, she practiced in North Africa before relocating to Canada. Upon her arrival, she completed her qualifying board examinations at the University of Western Ontario and successfully cleared the Canadian national dental board exams. Today, she is proud to work closely alongside Dr. Ameen to provide exceptional oral healthcare to the community.
Advanced Training and Clinical Interests
To provide the highest standard of comprehensive care, Dr. Jasim consistently pursues extensive post-graduate education across North America:
Orthodontics: Completed four years of intensive coursework through the prestigious Rondeau Seminars. She remains dedicated to expanding her expertise, continuously taking intensive courses to keep her skills sharp and her knowledge fully updated. She is also a proud member of the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO).
Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry: Completed a comprehensive nine-month advanced course dedicated to smile design and implantology.
Sleep Apnea and TMD: Completed intensive continuing education courses in both Canada and the United States to safely help patients manage jaw pain and sleep-related breathing disorders.
Beyond the Practice
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Jasim balances her thriving career with being a busy mother of four. She is a true creative at heart with a keen eye for style and design. To unwind, she enjoys staying active with sports, listening to music, and losing herself in a good book.
Dr. Omar Saddam
General dentist
Dr. Omar Saddam is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. After earning his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree, he practiced internationally for five years before relocating to Canada, where he has proudly served patients for the past year. Known for his compassionate approach and personalized care, he is committed to building trust and helping patients understand how to achieve and maintain excellent oral health.
